Loch Broom

Lochbroom, translated as ‘loch of rain showers’ in Gaelic, is a sea loch located in Wester Ross on the North West coast of Scotland and the small picturesque fishing village and port of Ullapool sits on its Eastern shore.

Ullapool’s wide range of facilities and eclectic year round series of cultural activities make it an unforgettable place to visit. There is always energy in the air and something to delight all visitors. Ullapool offers restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, live entertainment, an art gallery, arts studios, a museum, library, sea fishing, loch fishing, deer stalking, car and cycle hire, a ferry to the Outer Hebrides.

Alternatively, enjoy quiet moments simply sitting by the quay side and watching the harbour activity, the fishing boats and the comings and goings of the Stornoway ferry. And do take time to look down the loch, back towards Letters and marvel at the ancient rocks and the magical mists. Ullapool enchants, and will become a place you will want to return to!
